Module 3

Hello Everyone, Welcome back to my Blog😃

This week, we are going to talk about color and its effects on different things; such as emotions. To define color, I would say that color is the aspect of art that is created when light reaches an object. We see the color through the cones in our eyes, without these cones, we would not be able to see the colors. Each color has a unique way of influencing our emotions, the way we feel. It can be used to influence our mood.
For example, the color green represents good health, renewal, and calm. Green is used as an example for the calm emotion where as red is represented as anger and bad energy. If we are ever in an angry mood situation, the color green is used to calm us down. Another example is color black. Black represents depression. I once was in a timeshare in Florida where the color of the place was dark and the minute I walked inside, my mood changed, and I got little sad. But when I’d go outside in a bright place, my mood would always light up and I am back to being myself. That timeshare gave me bad vibe just because it was dark inside but according to my friend, I only felt that way because I took a shower in the dark😐. Well this proves that the color has effects on our emotions.

The theoretical aspect of color that most intrigues/fascinates me is that it can represent so many different things. It represents our emotions, our health, our personality. It is never just one thing.

From the color video, the color red on the Titian’s Assumption of the Virgin painting made the biggest impact on me in regard to color and its effects on emotions. The painting is painted with different shades of red. No one would notice that unless they look into the painting for a brief minute.

Bye for now 👋
